Cookie Notice

Last updated: October 5, 2026

This notice explains what the iVenza website (ivenza.app) keeps in your browser, who puts it there, how long it stays, and how to change your mind. It is part of our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with the information. Show Up Show Out LLC ("we," "us") operates the website.

Your choice, right now.

The short version

  • We set no cookies of our own. The website keeps a few small items in your browser's local storage instead, listed below.
  • Two things are optional: website analytics (counting visits and page speed) and advertising measurement (the Meta Pixel, which sets Meta's cookies). Both can be switched off at any time, and switching them off stops them and deletes what they stored.
  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, both are off until you say yes. Everywhere else they run until you say no, and a browser signal (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track) counts as no.
  • The iVenza app and the web app at my.ivenza.app run no advertising trackers and are not covered by this website's banner. They have no banner of their own because their optional measurement is off by default in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: it starts only when you turn on "Share usage & diagnostics." Everything the web app stores is listed below.

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Local storage does the same job inside your browser and is not sent to a server unless a page's own code sends it. A pixel is a tiny request a page makes to another company's server so that company can see the visit. The law treats all three the same way when they identify your browser, and so do we: this notice covers all of them.

When we ask, and when we do not

We work out which rules apply to you in your browser, from your time zone and your language settings, because the website cannot know where you are. If your browser says you may be in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland - or it will not tell us - we ask first and run nothing optional until you choose. Elsewhere we do not show a banner, the optional items run unless you opt out, and the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page opens the same choices. You can always open that link, wherever you are, and change your mind.

A choice you save in the banner is remembered in this browser. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask again after 12 months, or sooner if what we use changes. We do not make the website depend on your answer: you can ignore the banner and keep reading.

What the website stores

Name What it is Set by How long Your consent needed?
Strictly necessary - needed for the site to work the way you asked, so it is always on

ivenza_persona The audience you picked on the homepage (athlete, coach, and so on), so we can show you the right section. Us (local storage) Until you change it or clear your browser data. No - a preference you asked for
ivenza_blog_sub Remembers that you subscribed to the blog, so we stop asking. Us (local storage) Until you clear your browser data. No
ivenza_blog_sub_snooze Remembers that you closed the blog sign-up panel, so we do not show it again for 60 days. Us (local storage) 60 days of effect; the item stays until you clear your browser data. No
ivenza_analytics_opt_out An older opt-out flag from before the banner existed. We still honor it. It is deleted the first time you save a choice. Us (local storage) Until you save a choice. No
Analytics - optional
ivenza_anon_id A random identifier (not your name or email) that lets us count repeat visits and tie a later sign-up back to the page that brought you. Us (local storage) Until you withdraw consent, or clear your browser data. The events it labels are kept for 24 months. Yes in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Elsewhere it runs unless you opt out.
ivenza_acq The first campaign link (the utm_ tags) and referring site that brought you, so a sign-up can be credited to it. Us (local storage) Until you withdraw consent, or clear your browser data. Same as above
Advertising measurement - optional, marketing pages only (never on the legal, trust, security or help pages)
_fbp A browser identifier the Meta Pixel creates so Meta can recognize the same browser across visits. Meta (a first-party cookie on ivenza.app, set by Meta's script) 90 days Yes in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Elsewhere it runs unless you opt out. Never under Global Privacy Control.
_fbc Stores the click identifier from a Facebook or Instagram ad you tapped, so Meta can tell the ad led here. Only set if you arrive from such an ad. Meta (a first-party cookie on ivenza.app, set by Meta's script) 90 days Same as above
fr Meta's own advertising cookie. It lives on facebook.com, not on our site, and this website cannot read or delete it. Meta (a third-party cookie on facebook.com) 90 days Same as above

What the web app stores

The web app at my.ivenza.app sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising. It keeps the items below in your browser's local storage (kept until you clear it) or session storage (cleared when you close the tab). Almost all of it is needed to sign you in and to remember what you asked it to. The only optional part is measurement, and in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it stays off until you turn on "Share usage & diagnostics" under Your data, which is why the web app shows no banner: there is nothing to ask until you choose. Your yes is saved in this browser; your no, and the account switch, apply wherever you sign in.

Name What it is How long Your consent needed?
Strictly necessary - needed for the web app to work the way you asked, so it is always on
sb-…-auth-token Your sign-in session. It is written by the sign-in library our database provider supplies. Until you sign out or it expires. No
language_preference, ivenza-theme The language and the light or dark appearance you chose. Until you change it or clear your browser data. No - a preference you asked for
ivenza:activeOrg:… Which gym or team you picked to manage, one entry per account. Until you change it or clear your browser data. No
persona.viewAsAthlete, persona.coachMode Whether you are looking at the athlete view or the coach view in this tab. This tab (session storage). No
postSignInRedirect, pending_facebook_link, ivenza:signupIdentity, ivenza:ref, ivenza:chunkReload:… Carry you through a sign-in, a social-account link, a sign-up or a referral link you followed, and keep one reload after an update from looping. This tab (session storage). ivenza:signupIdentity clears when sign-up finishes. No
ivenza:roleChosen:… Remembers that you answered "How will you use iVenza?", so we do not ask again. Until you clear your browser data. No
ivenza_consent Remembers the choice you made on "Share usage & diagnostics." The same name and shape as on the website. Until you change it or clear your browser data. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask again after 12 months. No
Remembering what you have seen and how you like it - small flags and display choices, never sent to us as analytics
ivenza:orientationSeen:…, ivenza:sectionTourSeen:…, ivenza:autoTourSpent That you have seen a tour or page tip, so it does not come back. Until you clear your browser data. ivenza:autoTourSpent lasts one tab. No - these remember what you dismissed
ivenza:releaseNotesSeenAt:…, ivenza:checklistDismissed:…, ivenza:coachSharePromptDismissed:…, ivenza:gymPromoAsked:…, ivenza:whiteGloveRequested:…, ivenza_beta_banner_dismissed That you have read, closed or answered an announcement, a checklist card, a prompt or a banner. Until you clear your browser data (ivenza:gymPromoAsked:… lasts one tab). No
ivenza:musclesCardExpanded, ivenza:filmQueueSort:… Display choices: whether the muscle map is open and how you sorted a film list. Until you change it or clear your browser data. No - a preference you asked for
gym-report-ai:v… The plain-language summary of a gym report you asked for, kept for the day so reopening the page does not run it again. Until you clear your browser data. No
Measurement - optional. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, off until you turn it on
ivenza_analytics_opt_out A copy of your account's "Share usage & diagnostics" being off, so the web app can stop measuring before it has loaded your account. Until you turn the switch back on. No
ivenza_anon_id, ivenza_acq, ivenza_acq_attached, ivenza_web_signup Only if you arrive from the website after saying yes to analytics there, or turn the switch on: a random identifier, the campaign that brought you, and two flags so a sign-up can be credited to it once. Never written before then in the EEA, UK or Switzerland. Until you turn the switch off or clear your browser data. Yes in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Elsewhere it runs unless you opt out.

With measurement on, the web app also sends usage events, crash reports and performance timings to our own database, and loads Vercel's Speed Insights script (va.vercel-scripts.com), which measures page speed and stores nothing in your browser. With it off, none of that runs, including the Speed Insights script.

Requests that are not cookies

  • Fonts. Our typeface is served from our own site, so your browser does not contact a font provider when a page loads and nothing about your visit is sent to one.
  • Payments and video. Pages that take a payment load Stripe's script, which sets its own cookies to prevent fraud, and a page that plays a YouTube video loads YouTube's player when you open it. Both load only on the page that needs them.
  • Our database provider. Forms on the site (the free guides, the blog subscription, privacy and security requests) and, with your consent where it is required, analytics events are sent to our backend at api.ivenza.app, which Supabase hosts for us. No cookies are involved.
  • Links. Links to Calendly, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, the App Store and Google Play take you to those companies' sites, which set their own cookies under their own notices once you arrive.

What the Meta Pixel sends

When advertising measurement is on, your browser tells Meta that a page was viewed, that you tapped a sign-up or app-store button, or that you requested one of our free guides, together with your IP address, browser and device details and the cookies above. We never send Meta your name, your email address, anything you type into a form, or any training, health or payment data. Meta may combine what it receives with what it already knows about you; see Meta's cookies policy. Where the law treats us and Meta as jointly responsible for that collection, you can ask us about it using the contact details in our Privacy Policy.

Other technologies

  • Email. Emails we send can record whether they were delivered or opened and whether a link was clicked, using a tiny image and tracked links. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. The Privacy Policy describes this under "Email engagement." Blocking images in your email app stops the open signal.
  • The app. The iVenza mobile app uses no cookies, no advertising SDK, and does not read your device's advertising identifier. Its analytics and crash reports have their own switch under More → Data & Sharing: on by default outside the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and off until you turn it on inside them.
  • Session replay. We do not record your screen, clicks or keystrokes.

Your choices

  1. Our cookie settings. Use the button at the top of this page or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. You can accept everything, reject everything, or pick analytics and advertising measurement separately. Changing your mind is as easy as the first choice, and withdrawing stops the item at once and deletes what it stored on this browser. Withdrawing does not undo what was collected while you had it on. You can also choose from Your Privacy Choices.
  2. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the Meta Pixel never loads, and we treat that as your opt-out of "sharing" for advertising under state privacy laws. If it sends Do Not Track and you have not made a choice, both optional items stay off.
  3. Your browser. Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site data: see the help pages for Chrome, Safari and Firefox. Blocking everything may stop parts of a site from working. To remove Meta's own fr cookie, delete cookies for facebook.com there.
  4. Meta and industry tools. You can control how Meta uses your information for ads in your Facebook ad settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising across many companies through the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance (in Europe, Your Online Choices). Apply these on each browser and device.
